AUGUST 23, 2006 DEPART FOR MRS. AMERICA IN TUCSON, AZ
Today was the big day that we all left for the Mrs. America pageant! I can't believe it is finally here! My flight was on time but I had so much stuff I had to pay an extra $100 in overweight baggage fees (OUCH!). Mrs. WI and Mrs. MI were on my flight, and while waiting at the airport for our luggage, I met Mrs. SD, IN, & OH. After getting settled in to the hotel, we had our orientation dinner. It was elegant and a wonderful meal. The pageant had beautiful black taffeta/satin photo albums embellished w/ a rhinestone crown on them at each place setting as a keepsake for each of us. If the rest of the two weeks are as top notch as this first event, we're in for an AMAZING time! WOW!
